Marshmallow Bunny Cupcakes

Cupcakes are such an easy way to celebrate a holiday and one of my favorite hacks is to buy pretty, colorful store bought cupcakes and add my own cupcake topper to customize them.  These marshmallow bunny cupcakes are super simple {and super whimsical} and will be a big hit with the kids.  Make them with pink or white marshmallows, add them to homemade or store bought cupcakes, and you’ll have a quick and easy holiday treat!

To make these marshmallow bunny cupcakes, you’ll need frosted cupcakes, an edible black marker {affiliate link}, and marshmallows.  I think pink bunnies are super cute but you can use white marshmallows too.  I like the look of bunnies made from regular sized marshmallows but you could also try making them with jumbo marshmallows.

Use kitchen shears to clip ears in the top of the marshmallow, cutting v shapes from the back of the marshmallow toward the front, stopping just before the front edge.

When both bunny ears are cut, use your fingers to push the ears forward slightly.

Use a black edible marker to create a simple face on the front of the marshmallow.  You can make the face more complex if you want but it may end up looking a bit crazy if you add too many details.

Place the decorated marshmallows on top of the cupcakes and let the ears lay flat or push them up a bit, if desired.
