Wrapping Up January

It’s time to wrap up another month at Dukes and Duchesses!  I love taking a look back at all of the creative projects each month!  This month, there was a lot going on and I loved so many of these ideas.  I hope you did too!  If you missed any, click on the links below to view the full instructions and all the photos for each post!

DIY and craft projects

In January, I made vinyl mirror charts to remind my kids to brush their teeth {and those charts have been pretty popular on pinterest}, made the best chicken fajitas with a really easy marinade, created a winter wreath with Lion Brand yarn, made rustic bread dough napkin rings with refrigerated breadsticks, and sewed piggy bank valentines.

I also sewed a ruffled heart shirt for Tate {an idea I saw at a local store}, came up with a new color-coded system for organizing our hair clips, transformed an old table I dug out of the trash into a repurposed book caddy, shared my recipe for homemade laundry detergent, and taught my kids how to play jacks {I even sewed a cute little storage bag for the jacks and shared the tutorial in that post}.

And finally, I made homemade root beer {oh my, it couldn’t be more delicious!}, hosted a burlap themed party for my teenage daughter, participated in my third annual soup swap, baked refrigerator bran muffins {a favorite recipe at our house}, and knit a football hat for a baby!

Which project was your favorite this month?
