One of the things I love about this time of year are the scents and smells of Christmas! Cinnamon and cloves and peppermint just enhance the season and bring so many wonderful memories to mind. I’ve been experimenting with different essential oil blends that capture the magic of Christmas and I wanted to share some of my favorites so you can fill your home with the smells of the season!
Use these essential oil blends in your diffuser {with water}, in a pot of simmering water on the stovetop, or in a small crockpot on the countertop. Just be sure to watch a pot on your stovetop so it doesn’t simmer dry.
You can also add natural products to enhance the blends: orange peels, apple slices, fresh mint leaves, or sprigs of fresh pine. Try these essential oil blends and then use your imagination and your favorite oils to create combinations of your own!
Clove Studded Orange Blend: mix 10 drops of orange essential oil with 5 drops of clove essential oil
Peppermint Eucalyptus Blend: mix 10 drops of peppermint essential oil with 5-10 drops of eucalyptus radiata essential oil
Candy Cane Blend: mix 10 drops of peppermint essential oil with 5 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil
Cinnamon Pinecone Blend: mix 5 drops of pine essential oil with 10 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil
Christmas Tree Blend: mix 10 drops of pine essential oil with 5 drops of Christmas spirit essential oil and 5 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil
Wise Men Blend: mix 5 drops of frankincense essential oil with 5 drops of tangerine essential oil and 5 drops of clove essential oil
Gingerbread Blend: mix 5 drops of clove essential oil with 5 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil and 5 drops of nutmeg essential oil and 10 drops of Christmas spirit essential oil
What are your favorite scents at Christmas?
