Summer Fun with the RYOBI Party Station

This post is sponsored by RYOBI; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Summer is party season.  We invite friends over, grill a pile of burgers and hot dogs, and spend hours swimming and splashing in the pool.  And I often add something new to our pool space in the summer months.  One year I painted a terracotta pot table to add to our bright sitting area and last year I built an umbrella table to shade our space.

This year I think I’m going to have to build the RYOBI Party Station for all our pool party fun!

If you haven’t seen the RYOBI Party Station, you have to watch this fun video featuring a pile of guys that reclaim their glory days and get together for an epic group build.

Isn’t that fun?  It kind of has me thinking about gathering up a group of friends for a DIY Girls Night.

I’ve also been thinking about all the fun ways I could customize the RYOBI Party Station for our backyard.

I’d build the easy plan for the Party Station {as opposed to the advanced plan} because I love the bottom shelf.  I can picture galvanized bins sitting on that shelf holding piles of snacks for the kids.

I’d paint our Party Station with bright colors to match our summer style and I’d love to paint the front with chalkboard paint so messages could be customized for each party.

Hooks along the back of the Party Station would be really cute for hanging extra towels for our guests and I’d add a small speaker so we can blast some tunes {do they still say that in 2015?} while we’re swimming.

And wouldn’t it be cute to add a lightweight clip-on umbrella to the side tray to shade the drinks?

There are so many fun ways to customize the RYOBI Party Station without adding piles of extra work.

Are you ready to build your Party Station?  Start building and enter your Party Station project in the monthly contest hosted by RYOBI Nation for the chance to win up to $1000 in RYOBI power tools!  What would you do to customize your Party Station?
