My kids love dressing up and Halloween always involves a lot of talking and planning and costume ideas.  This year, the Halloween ideas included dressing up like Sofia the First!  We decided to go all out and have a little party as well … and our adorable little Sofia the First pumpkin made a great centerpiece!

We stopped at Walmart and found a Sofia the First costume along with some other adorable costumes like Doc McStuffins and Minnie Mouse.  I also grabbed some cute Disney Junior American Greetings party supplies so my little one could have a princess party with her new costume.

Tate was just thrilled with her dress and she looked so cute all dressed up like Sofia!  In addition to the dress that came with the costume, we bought a little crown …

… and I made an amulet necklace {I added some purple paint to a pendant I bought at the craft store} and glued some pearls to the dress.  I can never resist adding a little DIY touch to storebought items.

Tate made a perfect Sofia and she loved dressing up.  Her costume has already had a lot of wear and Halloween is still a few weeks away!

Since we’re preparing for Halloween, I thought it would be fun to decorate a pumpkin to look like Sofia the First and use it as a centerpiece.  I bought a white faux pumpkin, painted on the features, and added some pearls and a dollar store crown.

It was really a simple project and my girls just love their pumpkin princess!

And set on top of a cake plate, it made a super cute centerpiece!

Little moments become such sweet memories with simple touches.  Even snack time is so much more fun when it feels like a party.  With party supplies from Walmart, it was so easy to set up a cute and oh-so-girly table!

I took apart a happy birthday banner, removed the pieces I wanted, and strung them back together with white tulle for a sweet little background.

I set Sofia plates at each place and added a little glam by sprinkling pearls across the table like confetti then served pink and white snacks.

My little monkey loved her princess party and I just loved watching her enjoy such a sweet moment!

Tate can’t wait to trick or treat in her costume and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of this Sofia costume in the days ahead!
