Sewing :: The Julia Jacket

I’ve been a bit quiet on the sewing front lately, embellishing and sewing small projects but not tackling any clothing items since Christmas with the exception of this sweet jacket I made for Lila.

I was a pattern tester for The Julia Jacket so I couldn’t share it until the pattern went on the market.  It’s available now so I wanted to share the photos I took of Lila wearing her sweet little jacket.

I was instantly drawn to the cute and contrasting details of this pattern.  The pink buttons I used for the closure …

… match the pockets and the inside lining.

The shape of the coat is just cute, isn’t it?  It has a classy, almost tailored look but the angled neckline and the three-button closure add fun and whimsical details.  The perfect combination for a little girl.

What have you been sewing lately?
The pattern for The Julia Jacket was provided to me for free for the purpose of pattern testing.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
