A Secret Message Tie {for Dad}

Today I’m sharing a really fun, unique idea for Father’s Day: a secret message tie!  This tie looks like an everyday, regular tie until you lift up the top and discover the secret underneath!

To make a secret message tie, you can use any fabric tie.  Find one in Dad’s closet or buy a new one.  You’re not going to alter anything on the tie except the skinny end.

Decide what you want to say and apply your message to the thinnest end of the tie.

I used iron-on heat transfer for my message but you could embroider a little message or stitch a small applique onto the tie.

That’s it!  When the tie is being worn, it looks like a regular old tie …

… but Dad will always know that a sweet message is hiding underneath.
