A Scavenger Hunt at American Girl Place {with a Printable}

The main activity during Lila’s DIY American Girl party at American Girl Place was a scavenger hunt and today I’m going to tell you a few more details and share the printable so your girls can enjoy their own scavenger hunt at the store!

an american girl place scavenger hunt

I made a list of a number of items that I knew the girls would be able to find at the store {specific dolls, accessories, and pets} then made a bingo-style printable of all of them and printed it out on cardstock.

I didn’t want the girls to carry pens or other writing instruments through the store {that seemed like an accident waiting to happen} so I glued a page of stickers to the back of each sheet.  Every time the girls found an item on the list, they peeled a sticker from the back of their page and stuck it on the correct square.

Our scavenger hunt was a fun activity for the girls and didn’t cause any disruption in the store {an employee even stopped us and told us what a great idea it was}.  It was the perfect party activity for an in-store party.

    This sounds like such fun for any American Girl fan! My daughter just turned three and saw the catalog the other day; she promptly had a wishlist as long as my arm. Pinning this for when she’s a bit older, because I know we’ll be using it.

    So glad I just found your site. We are having a do it yourself AG party next weekend for my daughter. I was thinking about creating a scavenger hunt as well. I love your idea for gluing stickers to the back of the scavenger hunt list. Will definitely be printing out your list. Did you run into any problems with the store having a group of girls there?

      No problems at all … in fact, a number of store employees commented on what a great idea it was! I didn’t let the girls run, just made them walk. 🙂
