Who’s getting ready for game day? I have to admit, I don’t even know who’s playing in the big game but I do know I’m ready for some awesome ads and some fabulous food! And this roast beef chipotle naan panini recipe will be the star of our game day spread!
These panini sandwiches are a crowd pleaser! Served on mini naan bread for a fun twist on a regular sandwich, they’re full of meat, cheese, and a whole lot of zing, making them hearty and delicious!
To make roast beef chipotle naan panini, you’ll need Stonefire Original Mini Naan {you can find Stonefire Naan products at Publix, Ralphs, Ahold, and Giant}, thinly sliced deli style roast beef {I prefer a marinated roast beef but your favorite cut will work perfectly}, chipotle gouda cheese {also found in the deli}, chipotle mayonnaise, and thinly sliced white onion.
Cook the sliced onions in one tablespoon of melted butter over medium heat until golden and caramelized.
While the onions are cooking, slather a healthy serving of chipotle mayo on the naan bread, add a couple of slices of chipotle gouda …
… and top with a few slices of roast beef and caramelized onions, once cooked.
Cook in a panini pan or a frying pan over medium heat until the cheese begins to melt and the sandwich is heated through.
Slice each sandwich in half and stack on a platter for easy grabbing.
Plan on two halves for each guest but be prepared that they’ll go quickly! The tangy flavors are a perfect combination and the game day crowd will love them!
Are you ready for game day? Let me share a few of my favorite easy entertaining tips that all revolve around one thing: keep it simple.
Don’t go crazy with the decorations.
While you could go all out, no one is really going to notice much except the food table. I love to use chalkboard wrapping paper to cover my table {you can draw a few football plays or label the food items} and then stick with black and white for an easy, inexpensive look. Plus, the decor can be reused for any sports celebration … or at least anything that has a referee!
Use disposable plates, cups, napkins, and cloths.
At the end of the party, it’s so nice to be able to roll everything up in the tablecloth and toss it out. I usually use real dishes for the food and snacks but, if I’m hosting a big crowd, everything else is disposable.
Set out a variety of drinks at one or two different stations.
The kitchen ends up being such a crowded place during a party and it helps to disperse the crowd if you set up a few different stations. Consider serving the food in one spot and drinks in a couple of other spots. No one wants to miss a big play when they’re getting a refill so having one station near the TV is optimal!
Serve one homemade recipe and add storebought sides or snacks or have guests bring something to add to the buffet.
A party should be fun for everyone, including the host, so do what you need to do to make it manageable, stress free, and enjoyable.
Keep a garbage bag or pail in an easy to access spot so guests will clean as they go.
If it’s easy for guests to dispose of their dirty plates, they will … and you’ll have less to do at the end of the night.
And finally, have fun. Enjoy the noise, embrace the mess, and cheer for your favorite team!
