Recovered Bar Stools

Are you on periscope?  If so, you may have already seen a sneak peek of this project.  After years of enjoying coffee sack covered bar stools, I gave my stools a makeover with fresh, colorful fabric that looks perfect in our family room.  These recovered bar stools are a breath of fresh air in a room that really needed a little something.

The coffee sacks were the second change these bar stools got.  When I first bought them, I covered them in a red/burgundy gingham fabric {remember when that was all the rage?} then recovered them with thrifted coffee sacks a few years later.

I loved the look of the burlap coffee sacks but it wore thin over time and just didn’t look great anymore.

I added a bit of extra padding to the stools then covered them with typography fabric with bursts of turquoise and orange.

It blends perfectly into my family room {where turquoise and orange are popular colors} and I’m already loving the brightness that the stools are adding.

Changing fabric on simple chairs and stools is so easy and has such an impact on decor!
