These New Year’s Eve party favors were created as a sponsored post for Cost Plus World Market. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Can you believe New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and it’s almost time to welcome in 2016? Whether you’ll be celebrating with a large crowd or a few close friends, these New Year’s Eve party favors {passed out at the stroke of midnight} are a great way to ring in the new year!
All your New Years Eve party essentials and the supplies for these midnight party favors can be found at World Market. You’ll need kraft paper wine bags {one for each guest}, small bottles of Pommery champagne, a champagne glass entertaining set, and a package of New Year’s party blowers. Throw in some confetti or white and gold crinkle and grab some beverage napkins and New Year’s party garlands for the party favor station.
To make the party favor bags, pull the handles off each bag then add gold numbers to the front to mark the new year. You could mark them with a stencil and paint or glitter, bright gold stickers, or gold vinyl cut with a cutting machine.
Fold the top of each bag down and, using an exacto knife, cut two long slits in the folded area, being careful not to cut through the ends of the flap.
Fill each bag with a small bottle of champagne, a champagne glass, and confetti or paper crinkle.
Fold the bag back over and slide a party blower through the slits in the paper bag to seal each one closed.
Create a little station where the party favor bags can be easily accessed as the countdown to midnight begins …
… and string some glittery garlands or other New Years decorations behind them.
As midnight approaches, remind guests to grab a bag, count down to the start of a new year …
… make some noise, and pop open the champagne!
Start the year off right with a toast to 2016 … and don’t forget the rowdy rendition of Auld Lang Syne!

This is such a great idea. I’m just getting caught up on my email after a nice, long holiday vacation. Sorry I missed this idea before New Year’s Eve. But there’s always next year, so I’m pinning this!

What a fun idea! I always have to work new years eve and day. But one day when I am off this would be a fun idea.
