My New Kitchen Fixture

My gorgeous new kitchen fixture was provided by National Builder Supply.  All opinions are my own.

You may remember that we made over our kitchen a few months ago.  I’ve been loving the update so much {no one could miss those old countertops!} but still had a couple of things left to do.  This week we crossed two of those things off the list: I tiled the floor spot where we ripped out the built-in desk and we replaced the light over the kitchen sink.  I now have a gorgeous new kitchen fixture!

There was nothing terribly wrong with the old fixture {although one of the LED bulbs didn’t connect properly and always looked like it was burnt out} but it just wasn’t my style at all.  It didn’t light up the sink area very well and I’ve wanted to switch it out for some time {and I’d love to get rid of those nasty popcorn ceilings as well}.

I chose to install the Progress Lighting Pendant Light in Brushed Nickel from National Builder Supply.  I love the clean, industrial style and I knew it would look amazing in my kitchen.  The brushed nickel is a perfect fit with all of my stainless steel appliances.

Phil did the electrical work and my Dad showed up in the middle of the job and got his hands dirty as well but it was so simple to switch out the fixtures.  After watching it once, I could easily do it myself next time.

There aren’t even words for how much I love my new kitchen fixture!  It’s such a huge improvement over the old fixture and it truly suits my style.

Unlike the old light, the new fixture lights up the entire sink area.  It almost makes it enjoyable to wash the dishes every night {smile}.

This pendant light is such a fabulous addition to our kitchen and really makes the room feel complete.  I love the way a small change can have such a big impact!

How pretty I love it, I wish my track lighting was where I could hang something like that. It’s in a totally odd place
