There’s nothing like fresh lemonade in the summer, is there?  I love experimenting with different variations and flavors and this lavender mint lemonade recipe is my latest!  It’s tart and delicious and so easy to make!  Mix up a pitcher and enjoy a summer afternoon outside.  The hammock is optional.

To make this lavender mint lemonade, you’ll need

8-12 lemons, depending on the size, plus more for garnishing

1 cup of lavender mint simple syrup {click for the recipe}, and

8 cups cold water.

Using only 1 cup of simple syrup makes this lemonade fairly tart.  If you like your lemonade sweeter, add more simple syrup.

Squeeze the lemons into a measuring cup, using as many as it takes to get 2 cups of fresh lemon juice.

Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher, stir in the lavender mint simple syrup, and add the cold water.  Stir gently to combine.

Add ice and garnish with lemon slices and a sprig or two of lavender.

Serve in tall glasses or mason jars, add a lemon slice and a couple of paper straws, and sip away!  Be sure to refrigerate any leftover lemonade.

This delicious lemonade recipe definitely needs to become a regular recipe for summer.  Stock up when lemons are on sale and store the fresh lemon juice in the freezer until you’re ready to make a pitcher of lemonade.
