A Knit Basket

This knit basket project is a sponsored post from We Are Knitters.

I just finished knitting up the cutest basket for my family room!  This knit basket started with a kit {The Christopher Basket} from We Are Knitters and I loved everything about it from start to finish!

From the time I first looked at the We Are Knitters website, I was taken with the branding.  My kit arrived in a plain labeled brown bag …

… that contained everything I needed to complete the project.

The kit included large, chunky wooden needles …

… and the wool for my basket.  This blue fiber is 100% natural Peruvian sheep wool with no acrylic fibers added and it’s gorgeous!  Soft, luxurious, and delightful to knit with.

The fun finishing touch in each kit is a tag to add to the completed project and a needle for finishing the seams.

I knit this basket up in no time, unfortunately.  I say ‘unfortunately’ because I loved knitting it!  The pattern was simple but enjoyable and the thick yarn knit up quickly and was so nice to work with.

The completed basket is so cute and I love the punch of color and texture it’s adding to my coffee table.  It’s just right for holding the remote controls and extra coasters.

Since finishing this fun knit basket, I’ve been poring over the website, trying to decide what to knit next.

I learned to knit years ago- but could never manage to master it- wondering if I have enough patience? But this basket is so adorable- and perfect for holding remotes- that I may just have to give it another go!
