I love seeing old things repurposed into something new and practical … or sometimes even new and impractical but fun nonetheless.  Old tires are easy to come by and these 10 ways to repurpose an old tire will have you thinking differently about roadside waste!  {You might be asking to keep your old tires the next time you get new ones for the car!}

10 ways to repurpose an old tire

Old tires can be used to build a swing set tire ladder …

… or they can be covered and turned into a completely unique ottoman.

You can paint an old tire and turn it into a hanging tire planter {isn’t that pretty?} …

… or cut it to add some flair and use it as a tire planter for the ground.

Use an old tire to create an old-school tire swing …

… or an adorable tire see saw {I love the way these see saws are painted like insects!}.

Tires aren’t just for kids and summer activities … an old tire makes a fabulous Christmas wreath for the holidays!

A huge tractor tire can be transformed into a sandbox …

… or used as a fun valance in a boy’s room.

Or you could get really creative and weave a tire basket!

I love all those ideas but the outdoor kid-oriented ideas are my favorites!  Which one of these ideas is your favorite way to repurpose an old tire?

    This came at the perfect time! I have two tires I was going to try and do something with. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Randi, You are lovely and so is your blog. These are good tire ideas and a couple I have not seen. I just found the ladder to the tree house we are building for our boys. Thanks so much!
