A few months ago I won a contest and got a fun package of Silhouette goodies. I can’t remember everything the prize included but I do remember I received yellow heat transfer material, magnetic paper, and tattoo paper.
[A little fact: you don’t actually need a Silhouette machine to use the tattoo paper … I did this project using only my printer.]
Luke and Lila have an upcoming camp-themed birthday party and I thought it would be fun to make some little themed tattoos. I found a Happy Camper image online {I saw this image used in many, many places and it didn’t appear to have a copyright so I hope I’m not violating any laws … and if I am, I only made ten and I’m not selling them so please forgive me} and copied it into Word. I then reversed the image so the text won’t be backwards once the tattoo is in place and printed it onto the tattoo paper.
After printing the picture, I followed the directions on the package to finish making the printed image into a tattoo. We ran a test on Luke’s hand and it really worked! He’s now adorned with a little Happy Camper tattoo. Being black, the text is a bit hard to read but overall they’re cute and it’ll add a little fun to the party.
I’ve started truncating my posts … please pop over to my blog to read the rest!
Oh Wow! I didn’t know you could even do that! Imagine the possibilities.
How fun is that?!?!
I didn’t know there was such a thing as tattoo paper! Cool!

Super cute! Thanks for your nice comment on my pin cushion picture frame. It is soooo easy! I made all three of those in about 30 mins.
I saw somewhere to make tatoos of your cell phone number and tatoo your kids before heading to the waterpark.
Very cool!! I got the tattoo paper a few months ago from Silhouette, but wasn’t sure exactly how it worked. :s Happy to see it was easy to use. Love the Happy Camper image. I like Deanna’s comment about tattooing your cell number on your kids before going to a theme park/water park. 🙂
Thanks for linking this up to my “I {Heart} My Crafty Cutter” party. Have fun finding some neat crafty inspiration, and I hope you’ll visit Serenity Now again soon. 🙂
Really fun idea, I had no idea they even made tatoo paper. How neat! I think you’ll be fine with the copyright issue, it should definitely fall under personal use:)
