Homemade Halloween Costumes

After looking at this year’s Halloween costumes {if you missed them, click here, here, here, and here}, I thought it would be fun to look at homemade costumes from the past.  And in so doing, I realized that my poor younger kids have worn their fair share of storebought costumes.  In fact, that’s all Luke’s ever worn {minus the year he wore Eli’s hand-me-down pirate costume}.  The guilt has duly set in and he’ll be wearing homemade Halloween costumes for the next ten years.

Kidding aside, I don’t always make our costumes but I do enjoy it.  Where I can, I’ve given links to the idea or pattern sources for these past costumes in case you’d like to make one too.

I don’t make halloween costumes but do try to buy them at garage sales all year. I do make their All Saints Day costumes. So far it has been easy. St. Michael and St. Gabriel, both angels. They were pretty easy to do. This year, however, will be a challenge.
I love all of these costumes. Thanks for sharing.
