Home Office Update

This is a sponsored blog post; while the views expressed here are genuinely mine, consideration was paid to me by Ludlow to review this product.

I recently finished a big home office update and I’m so excited to share it!  It’s amazing what a difference new furniture can make in a room, transforming it from a jumbled mix into a room that looks polished and complete.  I blended modern furniture with the whimsical, colorful accessories that I love and this space is now one of our favorite spots in the house!

home office update

I was really excited to give my home office an update because while I loved the different pops of color in the study, it felt like the room was very jumbled and didn’t flow well.  It looked as though I had just thrown a bunch of different pieces in the room and hoped for the best.  And truthfully, that’s kind of what happened in this space.  The giant chalkboard wall looked great but the rest was really missing something … and since our home office is one of the first things you see when you walk in the house, I was really keen to give it an update.

I felt like matching furniture, like the pieces in the Ludlow Collection, would show off the colorful items I like in my decor, really stand out against the chalkboard wall, and make the decor look more intentional.

The Ludlow Collection from Better Homes and Gardens is versatile and practical for any space.  With multiple pieces that can be combined and stacked, you can get a custom storage solution that fits perfectly in your room.

While it took some time to assemble all seven pieces in this room, the furniture was quite easy to put together.  I combined the Better Homes and Gardens Ludlow Storage Cabinet, Sliding Door Cabinet, Duo Storage Cabinet, Open Display Shelf, 2 Drawer Cabinet, Convertible File Cabinet, and 47″ Desk.

Once in place, my home office looked so polished and organized.  The elegant handles give the pieces an attractive contemporary look that pairs well with my more relaxed, playful style.

I really love a clean appearance and I like things like papers, cords, and files to be hidden away.  The Ludlow Collection makes it so easy to organize your office and your life.

With drawers that slide open …

… and cabinets with drawers and sliding doors, organization is a breeze.  I hid away all the accessories that I hate looking at like the pencil sharpener, the three hole punch, and the endless office and school supplies.

I left the panel off the back of the Ludlow Duo Storage Cabinet and used it to house the router and our printer.  Now, instead of seeing the printer and all the other computer cords, they’re tucked away inside and I just slide open the door any time I want to print.  I love how tidy it all looks!

I also love that in addition to organization, the Ludlow Collection has room for decorative items too.  The Ludlow Open Display Shelf is the perfect place to showcase favorite items, add a few pops of color …

With the Better Homes and Gardens Ludlow Collection, my home office has gone from being my least favorite room in the house to one of my favorites.

This room has gone from looking haphazard to looking so polished and complete and I can’t believe how much I love it!

Now let’s hope that having an updated home office helps the productivity increase as well {wink}!
