Gingerbread House Neighbor Gift

This gingerbread house neighbor gift was created as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®.

Christmas is starting to sneak into my mind and I’ve been working on a few fun projects!  Every year I give my neighbors a simple but sweet little gift and this year they’ll each be receiving a gingerbread house neighbor gift … filled with delicious Gingerbread M&M’s!

I love trying all the new seasonal candy flavors and my family and I love Gingerbread M&M’s {found exclusively at Walmart}!  They taste like big chewy gingerbread cookies and instantly remind me of Christmas.  They’re the perfect treat to hide inside a whimsical gingerbread house!

To make this cute little house, I used chipboard and scrapbook paper and cut a house template using my Silhouette.  If you don’t have a Silhouette or another cutting machine, you can find a template online and cut it out with a craft knife.

Once the house was cut out, I used a glue gun to attach it together …

… and added the fun decorative elements, like a cute little wreath for the front door …

Doesn’t it look cute?

I stuffed it full of Gingerbread M&M’s {I placed them loosely inside but you could also put them in a plastic bag and place it inside before gluing the roof on}.

The final touch is a cute little sign on the back of the house alluding to the treats inside.

I’ll be stocking up on Gingerbread M&M’s and delivering these whimsical little treats to my neighbors next month!

What a fun idea for a neighbor gift. So cute!

Quick question about the house. Were you able to cut it from 1 sheet of paper? Or did you need several sheets to form the base of the house? (Love my Silhouette!)

I needed two pieces of chipboard but I have an old Silhouette SD so it cuts 8.5×11 … I think it may all fit on a 12×12.
