Don’t you love summertime? It’s the season of ice cream and popsicles and long, dirty days outside. I know it’s not technically summer but our warm days are making us feel like it isn’t far off.
I make a lot of homemade popsicles for my kiddos. I like being able to control the amount of sugar and artificial coloring in our summer treats.
My kids all really like Earth’s Best Organic Fruit Yogurt Smoothies and I was sure they’d be delicious frozen as well. I had some overripe strawberries that I wanted to use …
… so I chopped them and put them in the bottom of popsicle molds and then squeezed yogurt smoothies over top.
I froze them overnight and popped them out for a fun but healthy after school snack. The sunny day treat was full of calcium and vitamins C and D, and didn’t contain any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
The three younger kids grabbed a chair in the backyard {all side by side … I couldn’t resist snapping a photo} and gobbled up their yogurt smoothie popsicles. They all loved the flavor … we’ll be making these simple popsicles again.

I’ve started truncating my posts … please pop over to my blog to read the rest!
That is a great idea! We make V8 V-fusion popsicles for the kids but never thought about yogurt smoothie ones.
Great idea. I usually put yogurt tubes or apple sauce tubes in the freezer for a summer treat. The apple sauce tubes don’t have added sugar but I think the yogurt does. I’ll give these a try. Thanks for the idea.
What a fun idea! I’m totally trying this! THanks for the tip.
PS Love those little cuties!
