Creamy Frozen Chai Latte

Last fall I shared a hot recipe for pumpkin chai latte and now that spring is here, I have to share the summer version: creamy frozen chai latte.  This recipe can be made using any instant tea or cappuccino mix and it’s a creamy, delicious treat … perfect for a little afternoon pick-me-up!

The recipe is simple: one envelope {or one serving amount} of instant chai tea mix or instant cappuccino mix {there’s not one flavor that isn’t delicious!}, 1 to 1-1/2 cups of milk {depending on how strong you like your drink}, and 1 cup of frozen cool whip.

Blend the ingredients in a blender until the drink is fully mixed and frothy.  Serve with a scoop of cool whip on top.

You’ll have to let me know if you try this recipe … it’s one of my favorite warm day treats!

I’ll have to try it with some frozen whipped cream. We don’t use Cool Whip because of all the chemicals in it. For a splurge I’d be willing to whip up come cream and freeze it in some 1 cup dollops. Sounds wonderful. Thanks for the springboard.

I tried this, but add like six ice cubes and a cup of cold coffee to change it up, It had a more Java chia taste! My hubby likes it both ways.
