My family loves KING’S HAWAIIAN® Dinner Rolls and although I often serve them alongside a meal, I’ve never served them in a meal … until now.  This savory baked crab strata recipe uses KING’S HAWAIIAN® Dinner Rolls for the base and it’s filling and delicious!  It’s the perfect recipe for brunch or you could serve it with a green salad for a light dinner.

To make this baked crab strata, you’ll need the following ingredients:

12-pack of KING’S HAWAIIAN® Dinner Rolls

1 tablespoon butter

1 onion

8 ounce package of fresh mushrooms

8 ounces of imitation crabmeat or canned crabmeat

2 cups mozzarella cheese

8 eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Split the rolls in half and lay them side by side along the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan.

Slice the mushrooms and chop the onion then saute them together in the butter until softened.

… then evenly spread the cooked vegetables on top.

Sprinkle with the cheese and then prepare the egg mixture by whisking together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.  Pour over the strata, cover, and refrigerate for at least 8 hours {overnight is fine}.

Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until cooked through.  Let stand for ten minutes then serve.
