DIY Chocolate Body Scrub Recipe

The final details are coming together for Kennedy’s at-home spa party birthday party and we’re getting really excited about hosting this fun night with a group of tween girls.  At the end of the evening, the girls will take home party favors with a few essential items for some additional at-home pampering.  Included in the beauty package is this delicious-smelling chocolate body scrub that makes a great exfoliant to use in the shower.

To make a batch of this chocolate body scrub, follow the simple recipe below.  I love this recipe because all of the ingredients are regular grocery store items that won’t be difficult to find and they’re all very affordable.  You could even let the kids mix this up at the spa gathering as a party activity if you need to fill a bit more time.

Each batch of this recipe is enough for at least two favors and maybe more, depending how much body scrub you place in each one.  These would be really cute packaged in small mason jars but plastic containers seemed like a smarter idea for younger girls {wink}.

2 cups brown sugar, light or dark

6 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

4 tablespoons olive oil

Mix the ingredients together, package in an airtight container, and add a label.

The scent of this body scrub is so delightful and it almost smells good enough to eat!  The good news is, the ingredients are actually all edible so no harm done if someone does give it a quick taste.
