I seem to be on a sippy cup theme these days. Since Tate is almost at the point where she’s ready to go into the church nursery (or maybe it’s that I’m finally ready), she needs a label for her cup. I saw a cute idea at a craft fair a number of months ago and whipped one up today. A sweet ribbon label.

Using my embroidery machine, I embroidered Tate’s name on a wide piece of grosgrain ribbon …

… burned the edges of the ribbon so it won’t fray, sewed each end under with a thin hem, and added a Velcro closure. It fits nicely around the sippy cup, won’t be too easy for Tate to rip off, and has a high cute factor.
