A Chocolate Dipping Station with Hershey’s™ Spreads

I created this Hershey’s™ Spreads chocolate dipping station as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars.  #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

Be prepared … your mouth is going to water as you scroll through this post!  I served a sweet and savory chocolate dipping station this week and it was so delicious and really fun to throw together!  It’s the perfect idea for easy entertaining and guests {young or old} will love it!

At the center of the dipping station were three new Hershey’s™ Spreads in different flavors: chocolate, chocolate with almond, and chocolate with hazelnut.

I stuck a colorful spoon in each, added a piece of bright washi tape, and surrounded them with jumbo marshmallows for dipping.

Most of the dippers I served were finger-friendly but I also set out a small container of toothpicks and embellished a few with a bit of washi tape {washi tape is such an easy way to add color to the table}.

I set out a few sweet food items that I knew would naturally taste amazing with the chocolate and nutty flavors: wafer cookies, mandarin orange slices, pineapple chunks, dried mango slices, and shortbread stars.  Small bites are perfect for a dipping station because they allow the guests to try a little bit of everything without getting full too quickly.

Sweet and salty is always a delicious combination so I set out bowls of almonds as well as spoons full of creamy peanut butter.  When dipped into the chocolaty spreads, the mix is like a mini peanut butter cup.  You could also freeze the spoons full of peanut butter before your party for a chilled treat.  Or spread a vanilla cookie with a layer of peanut butter and a layer of Hershey’s™ Spreads.  {Can you tell I love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate?  A lot?}

Although sweet items seem like a natural dipper for a chocolate spread, savory food is also complimentary to the rich chocolate flavors.  We dipped pretzel sticks and bacon strips {baked at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes} into the chocolate spreads and yum: a total crowd pleaser.  If you’ve never tried chocolate-covered bacon, you’re missing out!

But perhaps my favorite way to eat Hershey’s™ Spreads?  Mix a whole jar of it {any flavor works!} with a container of cool whip and use it as a chocolate dip for fruit!  It takes mere minutes to stir together, has a light and not-too-sweet flavor, and is perfect with strawberries and apples!
