A Christmas Home Tour

This December I climbed into the attic to start dragging out the Christmas decorations and I stopped after just a few things.  I decided to have a casual Christmas with a mix of new and old and a few upcycled pieces.  Let me give you a little Christmas home tour.

I couldn’t leave my vintage button wreath in the attic.  It’s been out for years and for some reason I just love it.  It looks sweet tucked among my sweater-wrapped candles.

My mantel is a simple mix of new, old, and upcycled.  I strung together some felt trees {found on clearance last year at Target} and draped them over my old window …

… tucked some ornaments into my vintage Coke crate …

… and, like last year, I hung our knit stockings on a tree branch.

A book Christmas tree {with a cookie cutter topper} acts as a centerpiece and a conversation starter in the dining room {inspiration found here}.

My collection of Santa mugs sits in a wire basket in the kitchen and another wire basket sits next to the coffee pot, holding random Christmas mugs for coffee or tea.

A few other decorations are scattered throughout the house {including my jute webbing wrapped tree} but those are some of my favorites.
How did you decorate this year?

Very nice! I went easy on the decorating this year. I went with white, silver and light blue and have a pinecone theme.
