A Canvas Tag {with DecoArt Ink Effects}

Remember the soccer bags I made for the twins using Ink Effects?

Well, I dug the ink out again last week and made a little tag for a friend.

Using a font I liked, I printed the word “happy” on my computer …

… then flipped it over {so I’d be painting the mirror image} and painted over the word with Ink Effects.  I used four different shades of greens and purples and blended them together.

I let the ink dry for about forty-five minutes and then ironed it onto my canvas tag {from Canvas Corp}.  The ink has a really neat muted look to it.

I folded a gift bag {from Pick Your Plum} and stapled it to make a little envelope pocket, stuck a card in it and attached my tag to the front.  I wrapped a little twine around it for some texture.

I’m a big fan of this product and I have another project in mind that I can’t wait to try.  Have you tried Ink Effects?

The ink used for this project was provided by DecoArt for this post … now I’m just enjoying using the leftovers.

    What a fun idea! I just read somewhere to use cute paper bags like that as envelopes for cards!

    Cute tag. You lost me at flipping it over… my brain doesn’t turn that way. It hurts just thinking about it!
