Baby Sock Rosette Wreath

I’ve been working on a few fun projects for a baby shower that I’m co-hosting tomorrow.  We chose a sweet spring theme {think whimsical birds and birdhouses} with spring colors of blue, green, yellow, and pink.  I volunteered to embellish a simple wreath for the front door and I came up with this fun baby sock rosette wreath idea.  After the shower, the baby socks can be pulled off and used which makes this wreath cute and practical all in one!

I bought little baby socks in spring colors, loosely rolled them up individually, fluffing the toes out a bit, and twisted them a bit to make them look like little rosettes.

I tied them on to a grapevine wreath using embroidery thread and stitching loosely through the back of each sock rosette.  When the shower’s over, the embroidery thread can be easily clipped to remove the socks so they can be worn by the baby.

I also added a little bird {cut with my Silhouette} and inked the edges a bit to give it a bit of a shabby, aged look.

I’m so happy with the way this little baby sock rosette wreath turned out and I love that the decor can actually be used after the party.

Wow! I think that is so resourceful! I bet it would look nice to have a whole wreath with just the sock blooms attached to a wire wreath all the way around and tied with a little bow!

Such a cute idea for a baby shower! I might try this next time I host one, instead of a diaper cake.
