This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Hillshire Brand Company but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #buy3save3

With seven people living in our house and a calendar full of activities, I love quick but delicious recipes.  Stromboli is a popular dinner at our house and it can be made with a variety of ingredients and combinations so it never gets boring.  It’s also the perfect dinner to wrap up in foil and take with you for a rushed evening.  My kids have eaten lots of stromboli variations while sitting in a gymnasium watching some hoops.  Let me show you how to make this easy recipe and then I’ll tell you 10 different ways to make stromboli!

10 ways to make stromboli

Stromboli is so easy to make.  You’ll need refrigerated pizza dough, your favorite Hillshire Farm lunch meats, cheese, and other ingredients to compliment the meat you chose.  {I know that sounds a bit ambiguous but keep reading because at the bottom of this post I have ten fabulous stromboli combinations.}

stromboli recipe

Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough and lay it flat.  Don’t worry if it gets a bit bunched or is a little uneven … you can’t go wrong with this recipe.  Chop 1/3-1/2 package of lunch meat and sprinkle it over half of the dough.

Cover the meat with the cheese and other ingredients {I used ham, mozzarella cheese, and pineapple tidbits in this stromboli} …

… then fold the dough over top and pinch it around the edges.  I just bunch it up loosely and pretend it’s artisan style {smile}.

Bake the stromboli on a greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until the dough is cooked through.  Slice and serve and enjoy!

Couldn’t be easier, right?  The kids can even make it!

I’ll get you started with ten of my favorite stromboli combinations and then you’ll be off and running.  There’s really no bad combination.

combinations

  • roast beef, caramelized onions, sliced goat cheese
  • ham, pineapple tidbits, shredded mozzarella
  • turkey, pesto sauce, shredded cheddar
  • pepperoni, marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella {serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping}
  • ham, sauteed mushrooms, shredded or sliced swiss
  • roast beef, sauteed green peppers and onions, shredded mozzarella
  • turkey, artichoke tapenade {found at Trader Joe’s}, sliced brie
  • pastrami, sauerkraut, shredded swiss {serve with Thousand Island dressing for dipping}
  • roast beef, caramelized onions, barbecue sauce
  • chicken, bacon pieces, sliced provolone {serve with barbecue sauce for dipping}

Don’t those sound delicious?
