A Pumpkin Party

I love hosting themed playdates and parties.  This week I hosted a {very orange} little pumpkin party for Tate’s playgroup.  If you follow my Halloween board on pinterest, you’ll have seen a lot of these fun ideas that I combined for a fun morning!

pumpkin party for halloween

I set the table in orange with touches of purple and black and rather than having a separate table for food, I placed the snacks along the center of the table so the kids could reach them easily.

The cute paper jack o’lantern plates came from Walmart.  I love how simple they are and they fit the theme perfectly.

We had a few different snacks.  Apple dippers on lollipop sticks were served with individual servings of caramel sauce and sprinkles placed in cupcake wrappers {inspiration found here} …

I tied purple twine around the cups and gave the kids striped purple paper straws.

Little floats were served in the cups: an orange drink with ice cream pumpkins {inspiration found here}.  This is such a fun way to serve floats and the ice cream shapes can be customized for any holiday or party theme!

Double sided duct tape confetti added a bit of color to the table.  Any Halloween pattern, or even a solid color or non-holiday pattern, would work well.

The kids decorated paper pumpkins with glitter, stickers, and craft items, ate their snacks, and played …

It was my favorite kind of gathering: casual and simple but lots of fun.  We loved our festive Halloween morning and can’t wait for the next themed playdate!
