Do you love repurposing items as much as I do!  This month {in honor of winter} I’m sharing 10 ways to repurpose an old sweater.  After you see these ideas you’ll want to hit up your local thrift store and buy out the sweater aisle!  Just don’t beat me to it {wink}!

10 ways to repurpose an old sweater

Ready for some inspiration?

You can cut the sleeves off a sweater and wrap them around candles or vases …

… or turn those sleeves into wine bags for a seasonal hostess gift.

Cut a sweater up and make rosettes for an adorable winter wreath {this one is definitely going on my project list}.

Transform old sweaters into one-of-a-kind Christmas stockings.

Add a warm touch to your decor by recovering a lamp shade with a cable knit sweater.

Keep your hands from getting burned with a coffee cozy upcycled from a sweater.  Wouldn’t that make a cute Christmas gift?

Turn a favorite old sweater into a warm pair of mittens …

Recover an old footstool …

… and be sure to use up all those sweater scraps too.  A simple garland is a great way to repurpose the final pieces!

What are you waiting for?  See you at the thrift store!  Which one of these ways will you repurpose an old sweater?

OOOH! I’ve got some sleeves leftover from the sweater ornaments I shared last week. I think I’ll go wrap them around a candleholder right now!!!
