The Gift of Thyme :: A Thank You Gift

My first year as PTO President at the middle school has {almost} come to an end and we’re all going to take a bit of a breather before we gear up for another successful year {and I’ll be at the helm again}.  I had a great board that helped me so much this year as we built our PTO from the ground up and I wanted to give them something to say thank you but I wanted to keep it simple {and cheap}.  This gift of thyme gift idea was perfect!

I wrapped green patterned washi tape around small terracotta pots {isn’t everything better with washi tape?} and added a packet of thyme seeds {I found these seeds at the dollar store, making this idea even more affordable} …

… with a little note: Thank you for all the thyme you put into PTO.

I simply typed the message up on my computer, chose a cute font, and printed it out on regular paper then cut them to size.  I attached the notes to the seed packets with small pieces of black washi tape.

Simple but heartfelt … and hopefully sweet enough to make these ladies come back next year {wink}!
