We’re a full week into summer break and I’m loving the unscheduled days.  Give me a couple more weeks though and I’ll be giving the kids lists of boredom busters to keep the days full and fun.

I thought I’d share the list with you too.  {Where possible, I’ve provided links to ideas I’ve shared in old blog posts.}

Summer fun

~ have a lemonade stand

~ have a water balloon fight

~ run in the sprinkler

~ play with ice cars

~ paint the house or fence with water

~ paint with frozen watercolors

~ make a sidewalk chalk mural

~ have a sponge ball war

~ have a water gun fight

~ make ice cream in a bag

~ play with bubbles

~ learn how to hand sew

~ finger paint with shaving cream

~ paint a monogrammed work of art

~ make a treat for the birds

~ bake something

~ make swirly stones

~ bake cinnamon ABC’s

~ make your own playdough

~ have a nature scavenger hunt

What are you favorite boredom busters?

    We share a few things..
lemonade stand, treat for the birds, kool-aid playdough, bubbles, water fight but with the sponge balls (you did this before), and adding lots of time at the park, and homemade popsicles. On a rainy day we will go see the puppies at the pet store.

    11 more days of school!

Can you do a list for teens/your older ones? I’d love some ideas.

Summer time things – when my two grown children were tiny too: Getting a Kite Flying up and away in an open green field and then, a family picnic with basket, franks and buns and oh, don’t forget the ants – they must be in attendance or, it’s just not a picnic at all. Happy Summer All,
