Santa Snacks

Last night, the kids had a special bedtime snack … and a special visitor.

Inspired by this, little bottles of milk became Santa milk.  I copied the craft foam hat idea but used white pom poms on top and then glued the hats to the front of the caps to hide the blue lids.

Rather than wrapping paper around the bottles, I made Santa suits and belts from red and black duct tape {I wrapped the bottles in red duct tape then cut the center out of a square of black duct tape for the belt buckle}.

The kids snacked on little pretzel Santa hats {inspiration found here}.  They were so simple to make and the kids loved them.

The little ones thought they were just having a fun, Christmas-y bedtime treat but the doorbell rang and Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived for a little visit.

The kids enjoyed the surprise visit {okay, the twins enjoyed the visit … Tate was terrified and Eli and Kennedy are a bit too old to enjoy a Santa visit}.  Regardless, it was a festive way to start the Christmas season.
