Homemade Root Beer Syrup {and a Printable}

My homemade root beer is a huge favorite around our house and every time I make it for friends, they rave about it! I decided homemade root beer syrup would make a really fun summer gift. It’s perfect for a hostess gift, teacher appreciation gift, and would even be really cute as a summer party favor!

root beer syrup

I simply mixed up a batch of the homemade root beer recipe and made a cute tag for it.  You can download the tag printable here: root beer syrup tags.

Pour the cooled syrup into a cute mason jar or glass bottle, attach a few colorful paper straws along with the tag …

… and pair it with a bottle of carbonated water {for mixing with the syrup}.

It takes less than ten minutes to make a batch of root beer syrup and your friends will love this unique {and oh-so-delicious} gift!

    I love how I can hear a southern accent when I read your blog:). I think it started with a “y’all” somewhere. (But then again, I don’t have a southern accent, yet I say “y’all.” The perks of growing up halfway between DC and Richmond, I suppose.) Anyway, I imagine it, and it sounds beautiful and inviting.
    I’m going to try making root beer now, too!

      You can just buy it at Walmart. Any brand is great … I think I’ve only ever seen one brand.
