It’s flip flop season: the season when we show off our legs and feet {whether we like it or not}.  With silky legs on the task list, I gathered up a group of my girlfriends for some snacks, some girl talk, and an evening of pretty legs pampering.

a-pampering-girls-night-in

A party isn’t a party without a sweet or savory spread of snacks and drinks, right?

snacks and drinks

I set out a selection of Italian soda …

drink bucket

… served in goblets …

glasses

… a pitcher of citrus water {to add to the spa feel of the night} …

citrus water

… and an assortment of cheese, crackers, grapes, nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate almonds …

cheese platter

… all laid out in a rustic fashion.

cheese and fruit platter

Before the party, I made a stop at Target and bought a pile of fun items {and judging by the cleared-out endcap, I’m not the only one who thought these products would be perfect for summer}.

shopping at Target

In keeping with the flip flop theme for the party, I set out a basket of flip flops in bright summer colors …

flip flop favors

… and goody bags so my guests could continue the pampering after the party.

favor bags

Each of my friends went home with Skintimate Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin Shave Gel, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color, and a foot care tool.

goody bags

In addition to the favors in the goody bags, I set out a bucket of other summer leg care items: more Skintimate Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin Shave Gel, a Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor, Banana Boat CoolZone Clear Spray Sunscreen, Banana Boat Protect & Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen, and Sally Hansen Inst-Dri Nail Color.

beauty products

We had a great time giving our legs and feet a taste of summer with the hydrating sunscreens {I love that sunscreen can moisturize at the same time it’s protecting my skin, giving me silky legs for summer!}.

hawaiian tropic

The Banana Boat CoolZone Clear Spray Sunscreen was a hit with everyone.  I had never tried it before and the cooling effect is fabulous … especially in our Texas heat!  It’ll now be a regular product in our sunscreen basket.

sunscreen

The toenails got some color …

painting toes

… and we all got ready for a summer of flip flops, shorts, and skirts {with a pile of laughs thrown in for good measure}.

girls night in

This summer you can get ready for summer with the #MySummerLook instagram contest with $2250 in Target gift cards as prizes!  The contest begins on June 26, 2014 at 12:00 am {midnight} ET and ends on July 10, 2014 11:59:59 pm ET.

Here’s how to enter:  SNAP a picture of you getting summer ready, TAG the photo using #MySummerLook {and @SummerReadyLook on twitter}, and POST to instagram or twitter.  Easy, right?  Wouldn’t you love to have a little extra money to get ready for summer?

That’s a wonderful party there! I love the freebies and oh, those splashes of pink and tangerine is so fabulous! That can be a great color-motif for my daughter’s 18th birthday. 🙂 Of all the products featured, I have already tried the Hawaiian Tropic. I love its scent and how light it is to your skin. Great product!
