For Cake

Kennedy turns twelve {!} this week and we’ll celebrate with a Spa Party on Saturday.  This cake stand {inspired by this} will hold little bundt cakes and will sit at the center of the main table.

For cake

It couldn’t have been simpler to make.  I painted wooden discs and dowels with Heirloom White, glued ruffled ribbon around the edges of the discs, and glued the whole thing together.  It’s preliminarily {is that a word?} glued together with a glue gun, allowing me to pop it apart on Saturday, add the cakes, and glue it back together with something a bit stronger.

I love the current homemade cake and cupcake stand craze.  Have any of you joined in with creations of your own?

That is precious! I totally could see it being used for Easter, and for a baby boy baby shower. Have a good one. Jen

This would be perfect for my daughter’s 5th birthday next month. She LOVES cupcakes (I thought the mini version would be good for 5 year olds) and this would be a perfect serving tray!
    Thanks for sharing.
(btw, got here via Sew Can Do).
