This is a product-provided, sponsored conversation that contains affiliate links. I received the Conair Quick Twist™ Double-Stranded Braider for my own personal use. All opinions, text and experiences are my own. #QuickTwist

With three girls in the house, there’s a lot of primping and preening and combing and brushing going on every day.  They’ve had braids and fishtails and have even had hair turned into a giant bow but never have we found a tool that makes fun hair styles easy … until now!  Let me show you how we’re styling hair around here … and the DIY glitter hair spray that my girls have been using!

The Conair Quick Twist Double Stranded Braider is the newest hair appliance in our home and we’ve been having so much fun experimenting with it!  It instantly creates beautiful, double-stranded twist braids, a hot trend in hair styles.

I was worried that it would be complicated to use but it couldn’t be easier … and it’s such a fun way to change up the everyday hairstyle.  The Conair Quick Twist comes with clips, ribbons, and bands to create and accessorize one of a kind styles.

Using the Conair Quick Twist is simple.  Take two strands of hair, lock them into the appliance and pull tight …

… slide the button up to twist the hair from bottom to top {stop when the strands are fully twisted; over twisting will cause the strands to bunch up} …

… then manually turn the Conair Quick Twist to spiral the strands together, making them as loose or as tight as you want.  Secure the ends and repeat until you have as many twisted strands as you want.

We’ve been attempting a lot of bohemian style twists like the ones we see in magazines and on pinterest, making twisted strands and bunching them together into back or side ponytails …

… and then adding more twists to the remaining loose hair.

To add a final shimmery touch to our styles, my girls have loved spraying DIY glitter hair spray on their twists.

How to Make DIY Glitter Hair Spray

To make this sparkly spray, pour regular hair spray into a bottle {bottles with bigger nozzles work best} and sprinkle in fine glitter.  Put the lid on and shake the spray to mix it …

… then spray onto hair as desired.  {The glitter hair spray will store well but it’s a good idea to rinse the nozzle with water after using to prevent glitter from getting stuck in it.}

Glitter hair spray makes our twisted bohemian hairstyle even more fun!
