My Christmas in July posts {here and here} got me motivated to start getting a few things ready for Christmas now … like these chalkboard tags.

I like to do something different each year with my gift tags.  Last year I came up with nothing and I think I wrote on each gift with a Sharpie.  Yikes.  I was determined not to do that again.

A few weeks ago, I bought wooden tags through the daily Pick Your Plum deal.  {If you don’t know about Pick Your Plum, you have to check it out.  They offer a different craft-related deal each day in limited quantities.  I’ve scored some great stuff.}

A few sprays of chalkboard paint and I ended up with really cute, reusable gift tags.

They look great against the red and white wrapping paper I’m using again this year.

One Christmas project checked off the list.

    I love this idea! I’m bookmarking it – these are perfect to have around for any occasion…and I’m thinking that using leftover Chalk Paint on any color would make them a lot of fun! Thank you for sharing!
