Batman Masks {in Pink and Black}

Living with Punks recently posted a tutorial for a Batman mask and when Luke and Lila saw them, they loved them.  I’ll try any project that takes less than thirty minutes and costs less than fifty cents so Luke and Lila got their masks.

The mask is really easy to make although I did it slightly differently.  Rather than cutting out the pieces, I held the pattern right over my felt and sewed along the lines (through all layers), then tore the paper away and cut around my stitch lines.  It sounded easier to me than trying to pin the pieces together and keep the pointy edges from moving.

Luke and Lila love their masks and have been wearing them for much of the morning.  I imagine I’ll have two little Batchildren in the house for some time.

I’ve started truncating my posts … please pop over to my blog to read the rest!

    Cute masks and a great tip for sewing over the pattern instead of cutting it out. I’m going to have to remember that.
