An Art Display

Luke and Lila have been coming home from kindergarten with a lot of really great artwork.  I’m not overly sentimental about saving or even displaying all kinds of school projects but I’ve been quite impressed with the quality of their art and decided it would be fun to have it on a changing display.  A big empty space at the end of the upstairs hallway was perfect.

I bought these clip boards quite a while ago.  They were on clearance for $1 each at Kirkland’s.  I didn’t like them but figured they could be transformed into something usable.

I lightly sanded and spray painted both boards, then used my Silhouette to cut labels from chalkboard vinyl.  I like the idea of having wipeable labels that can be changed to reflect the art hanging on the clip.

I really love the way these turned out and they’re the perfect thing to fill the space in the hallway.  I think they’ll look even better when I finally get that hallway painted in a bright color.

That’s a great idea. I love that you can find something for a $1 and make something so pretty and useful out of it.
