A potted chair

Years ago, I altered this old barstool to make a neat planter for the area near my front door. I found a tall chair with a straw seat (a garage sale find for about $7), painted the chair red, and cut the straw away from the middle of the seat until I had a hole big enough to snugly fit a pot. This chair has held different plants over the years and now holds a very leggy mum plant that I was given when Tate was born. It’s still one of my favorite projects.
