A Knock Off :: Vinyl Bike Wall Decor

Week Five is up at So You Think You’re Crafty.  The theme is Upcycle … please go vote!  Once again, one of those projects is mine.

It’s getting tighter and the projects are so good … I really think last week was the best week so far.  I’m thrilled that I made it through again … and in second place!

I love knock-off projects and I fell in love with these bicycles when I saw them on the Pottery Barn website.

My version {a side view rather than the front view} is made from white vinyl so it’ll show well on this brown wall in Kennedy’s room.  I cut the handles off a little basket and sewed a brown and blue polka dot liner for it.

With flowers, it reminds me of an old bicycle that you might see on a European street.  It’s the perfect accent in this room and adds so much whimsy to a small wall above Kennedy’s dresser.

I’m so glad the voters liked it too.

Congrats!! These bike are super cute. I knew they were yours with the silhouette cutouts and baskets. My second guess would have been the pier one director chairs. They so looked like something you would have done. this is so much fun as readers to see all the ideas and vote. I’m sure you are having fun doing it. 😉
