A Christmas Tree Shirt

This week Tate will be attending her playgroup Christmas party and I thought she better have something cute to wear.

Every year in Canton I see shirts adorned with ribbon Christmas trees.  I set out to make something similar but decided to slant my ribbon instead of laying it all out in parallel rows.  Isn’t that hole-y ribbon cute?  I picked it up in Canton, knowing it would be perfect for this project.

I added a ribbon star and bits of pom pom trim among the ribbon.  The pom poms look a bit like little ornaments, don’t they?

I think it turned out very cute and can’t wait to see it on Tate this week.
