How to Fold a Fitted Sheet

After almost twenty years of running a home, a few weeks ago I finally had my Mom teach me how to fold a fitted sheet.  My fitted sheets always end up bunched up in the linen closet with corners hanging out and nothing about them looks neat and tidy.  Can you relate?  My Mom, on the other hand, is the quintessential homemaker in every area and her fitted sheets are perfect little packages.  I thought it might be fun to get her to share her fitted sheet technique with all of you.

The tutorial is best understood by watching a quick video so check out my mom in action in the video below … and get ready for a tidy linen closet makeover {smile}!

She makes it look so simple, doesn’t she?  How do you fold your fitted sheets?

You made that look so simple, now I will try it, right now I do semi fold and put with the tops sheet and store all in the matching pillow case then when I need sheets all is together pull out the pillow case and all I need to make the bed is there, thank you for this video very helpful.

Ummm…. your mom is a genius! One concern though… how on earth would I be able to tell my flat sheets from my fitted ones without a wadded up ball? hehe. Her fitted sheet looks better than my flat one. LOL! Pinning < for my kids!

I have tired to do that but I think you threw in a couple tips that I don’t do, so I am going to try it again. I actually fold both my sheets and 1 pillow cloth and then I put all of it in my other pillow, and it looks very neat.

Yay Mama! You’re a star! She definitely deserves a trip out to Starbucks for that cameo appearance!

I’ve tried about a million times and I can never get mine to look right, but you make it look so easy, I’m going to give it another try!

I saw a similar video on how to fold fitted sheets but I prefer your Mom’s way. It’s easier to remember and it looks easy too. I always have trouble with folding the fitted sheets. Now I’m excited to try your Mom’s method!

I have all the other people beat, I have been keeping house for close to 60 years, long before fitted sheets, and have never been able to make them look like hers. Certainly going to try, she makes it look so simple. Thank You
