Lucky Clover St. Patrick’s Day Shirt

I loved the little shirt Tate wore for St. Patrick’s Day last year and decided to make her a lucky clover St. Patrick’s Day shirt to wear this year.  In green, of course, because no one wants to get pinched all day {wink}.

I bought a little green shirt at Walmart {the cute – and cheap – seasonal shirts are perfect for embellishing and they usually offer styles that are a bit cuter than a plain craft shirt} and used my cutting machine and white heat transfer material.  This was my most successful heat transfer project to date … I think I’ve finally figured out the pressing time and the required heat setting on my iron.

The shamrock and brackets were downloaded from the Silhouette site and the font is monster paparazzi.  Don’t forget that when you cut with heat transfer, you have to reverse your design or it’ll cut backwards.  It won’t matter so much for the shamrock but it definitely matters for the font.

I’m really happy with the way this little shirt turned out.  Won’t my little leprechaun look cute on St. Patty’s Day?

Very cute! I’ve never used the heat transfer material before, but it would be much faster (and better results) than paint and a stencil. I wonder if you can use the material with a Cricut?

I love Wal-mart tees too. They are perfect for appliques. This is precious!! I wonder if I can do heat transfer with Cricut? Very, very cute! I love it! She’ll look precious in it.

Oh my gosh!! I love the little polka dots you added to the shamrock. 🙂 So cute. It usually takes me FOREVER and a lot of pressure to get the heat transfer to take on my projects. :s

Thanks for joining my Weekend Bloggy Reading party. Have fun finding a a few good reads, and I hope you’ll visit Serenity Now again soon. 🙂

I saw this on the Crafts A La Mode linkup. This came out super cute. I’m working up the nerve to try heat transfer vinyl.
