We’ve got the most amazing mild spring weather in Dallas right now and it has me remembering how much I love this time of year. It also has me dreaming of evenings on the patio and summer cocktail parties with friends … and this spiked mint chocolate milkshake recipe is definitely a fun recipe for warm summer days! Whether you enjoy it as a tall creamy shake or as a little after-dinner treat served in shot glasses, this minty spiked milkshake recipe is the perfect sipper!
To make a spiked mint chocolate milkshake, you’ll need your favorite chocolate ice cream, milk {whole, 2%, or even skim is fine}, and creme de menthe liqueur. You can use either clear or green creme de menthe liqueur.
{Ingredient measurements and full instructions can be found in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.}
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth and the ingredients are combined …
… then pour into glasses and add a colorful paper straw or two!
If you’re serving these as shooters, they’re even more fun when served in icy shot glasses made with a shooter ice mold. You can use these molds to make ice glasses or mix it up a bit and make chocolate or candy glasses. It’s such a fun way to serve a cocktail and the ice glasses keep the cocktail super chilled the entire time you’re drinking it! There are a number of different molds available but I love the one I linked to above because it has a base that you can hold on to so you don’t freeze your hands!
{If you’re serving this treat in ice glasses or other shot glasses, cut the straws in half to make them fit the glasses better.}
