Fall is quickly arriving and hopefully bringing some cooler weather with it. Whether it stays hot or gets downright cold {either is equally possible in Texas}, this pomegranate red wine sangria recipe is perfect … and perfectly delicious!
To make this easy sangria recipe, you’ll need
1 1/2 cups red wine {I prefer a sweeter variety}
1/2 cup orange juice {pulp free}
1 tablespoon lemon juice, bottled or fresh squeezed
1/4 cup red or green grapes, halved
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
1/2 red apple, cored, peeled and diced
1 star fruit
If you like your sangria a little sweeter, add brown sugar as desired.
In a small pitcher or carafe, combine the wine and the juices and stir gently to blend {the handle of a wooden spoon works well for stirring in a narrow-necked bottle or carafe}.
Gently add all of the prepared fruit …
… and serve, pouring over ice and adding a festive garnish such as a slice of star fruit or a few grapes on a skewer. You can also store in an airtight container in the refrigerator if the sangria’s ready before cocktail hour.
This pomegranate red wine sangria recipe will quickly become a new fall favorite and the most requested cocktail at your next girls night in!
