New Year’s Eve is almost here {can you believe we’re almost at the start of another new year?} and if you’re hosting a party or having friends over to ring in the new year, these simple champagne balloon poppers are a fun and easy treat for midnight celebrations!  Ring in the new year with a bang {or a pop!} and toast it with champagne for the perfect start!

To make these champagne balloon poppers, you’ll need a small bottle of champagne for each guest or each couple, large balloons {the kind you fill with helium}, large or small pieces of confetti, and glitter, if desired {affiliate links}.

Fill the balloons with confetti and glitter.  To make it easy, roll up a piece of paper or cardstock like a funnel and insert it into the end of the balloon then push the confetti and glitter down the tube.

Once you’ve got enough confetti and glitter in the balloon, carefully blow it up.  Pull the end over the top of a bottle of champagne, pulling it down the neck of the bottle at least an inch.

If any air seeps out of the balloon, you can also tie a knot high up , then pull the end of the balloon over the top of the champagne bottle.

Attach a pin to each bottle with a piece of washi tape or place a little jar of pins next to the champagne bottles on a bar cart or table.

At the stroke of midnight, guests can pop the balloons …
