As part of our 24 Days of Service, today Kennedy and Elijah mixed up a big batch of peppermint popcorn {our Christmas-y version of candy-coated popcorn}, attached Kennedy’s handmade ornaments, and delivered them to neighbors. We’ve received such yummy and thoughtful gifts from our neighbors this month … we love this neighborhood!
To make this peppermint popcorn recipe, follow the simple instructions below.
Peppermint Popcorn
2 bags of plain popped microwave popcorn
1 pound white Candy Quick coating/almond bark, melted
red paste food coloring
crushed peppermint candies
Divide the melted candy coating into two bowls and color one bowl with red coloring. Toss the popcorn with white candy coating, adding a bit at a time to avoid clumping. Toss the popcorn with crushed peppermint candies. Toss the mixture with red melted candy coating. Spread on wax paper and allow to cool.
It doesn’t get easier than that, does it? Once cool, store in an airtight container or package in small cellophane bags and deliver to friends and neighbors.
